Un peu de Paris
French brasserie in Amsterdam city centre
Chez van Rijn is the French brasserie of central Amsterdam: oysters, steak frites and candlelight in the monumental De Kroon building on Rembrandtplein.
Paris, in the middle of Amsterdam
Why make it complicated when it can be simple? That is our motto, and exactly what a classic Parisian brasserie should feel like: a menu of recognisable French classics, kindly priced for the city centre, served in a room you will not soon forget. Chandeliers, deep green and bordeaux red, a grand piano at the heart of the room and staff in white shirts with bordeaux aprons.
From oysters to steak frites
The menu is about flavour and craft: oysters with shallot mignonette, oeuf mayonnaise, steak tartare, escargots, mussels and of course our Steak Frites with homemade Chez Van Rijn sauce. Hungry with company? Share a côte de bœuf à la plancha or a whole sea bass. Browse the full lunch menu and dinner menu.
