The Steak Frites at Chez van Rijn: entrecôte, fresh fries and our own Chez Van Rijn sauce. The French classic, served daily on Rembrandtplein.
Entrecôte, fries, sauce
A proper steak frites needs no fuss: a well-seared entrecôte, fresh fries and a sauce that is simply right. We make our own Chez Van Rijn sauce in house, and the recipe stays here. You will find the Steak Frites on the lunch menu and the dinner menu at 24,5.
For bigger appetites
Coming with company? The dinner menu carries a côte de bœuf à la plancha to share, served with pepper sauce, bearnaise, fries and salad. Or go for the butterflied whole sea bass with mussels. At lunch there is also the Hamburger frites with Chez Van Rijn sauce.
Where it belongs
Steak frites tastes best where it comes from: in a French brasserie with candlelight, a glass of red and the hum of Rembrandtplein outside the door. Book a table or just walk in.
